I got an e-mail from Magic Hat today promoting their Winterland variety 12-pack. I know that the breweries like to get out in front of the seasons with their beer offerings, but this is getting ridiculous. Winter beer in October? I just sampled Magic Hat’s fall variety 12-pack, Night of the Living Dead. This 12-pack featured:
- #9, Magic Hat’s flagship beer, a Pale Ale with apricot flavor (5.1%)
- HI.P.A, a delicious, hoppy IPA with a trippy label to go along with 6.7% ABV and 70 IBU.
- Hex, a German Ale that Magic Hat dubbed “Ourtoberfest” (5.4%)
- Humble Patience, a sessionable Irish-style Red Ale at 4.6% ABV
This was a solid fall 12 pack and I would like to get another before it is replaced by the Winterland 12-pack. I really enjoyed the HI.P.A.
Magic Hat Brewing Company brews in Burlington, Vermont.
