Part 9: Gordon Biersch, Rockville, Maryland

Occasion: I don’t get the chance to eat prime rib very often, so when I got the email about GB’s prime rib beer dinner, it was an offer I couldn’t refuse.
The beer and food menu:
Brewmaster Christian Layke once again put together a great line-up of food and drink. My favorite brew was the Cask Conditioned Brewers Select Rye IPA, a hazy, tasty brew poured straight from the cask.
While the Winterbock was the perfect hearty counterpart to the Prime Rib, the best pairing of the night was the White Chocolate Cheesecake and Brewers Select Bourbon Barrel Aged Porter. The best part was when they served everyone second helpings of cheesecake to savor with our Porters!
I Filled my Growler with: Winter Bock, a Bavarian-style dark double bock lager.
Can’t wait for the next Gordon Biersch Rockville event!
