Another entry in my occasional series of posts about variety 12-packs…
What’s better than a variety 12-pack? A variety 12-pack of IPAs!
The Sierra Nevada 4-Way IPA Seasonal Sampler features my favorite beer style from one of my favorite breweries. Does beer drinking get any better than this?
According to Sierra Nevada, Our 4-Way IPA pack stretches the boundaries of India Pale Ale from midnight black to brilliant gold and from experimental techniques to innovative ingredients. This year’s lineup features one all-time classic, two returning favorites and one brand new IPA loaded with intense aromas and flavors, highlighting our passionate and progressive take on whole-cone hops.
- Torpedo Extra IPA, this hop bomb is one of my favorite year-round IPAs (7.2%, 65 IBU)
- Blindfold Black IPA, this Black IPA has the color of a stout and the intense, hop-forward flavors of a classic American IPA (6.8%, 70 IBU)
- Golden IPA, a classic West Coast-style IPA featuring Cascade hops (5.9%, 55 IBU)
- Ruthless Rye IPA, a rugged IPA with fruity, citrus and herbal hop notes countered by the dry spiciness of the rye (6.6%, 55 IBU)
This 12-pack is highly recommended!
Where I found it: On the beer shelves at the Harris Teeter in Arlington, Virginia.
