After a break due to business travel, the Boa Beer Blog is back with another entry in my occasional series of posts about variety 12-packs…
What’s better than a mixed 12-pack of beer? A mixed 12-pack of IPAs!
The IPA Adventure from Harpoon Brewery features four different IPAs:
- IPA, Harpoon’s best selling beer is one of my favorite session IPAs (5.9%, 42 IBU)
- Rich and Dan’s Rye IPA, a delicious and well-balanced Rye IPA (6.9%, 70 IBU)
- The Long Thaw, this White IPA blends the spiciness of a Belgian Wit and the American hop profile of an IPA (6.2%, 45 IBU)
- Black IPA, only available in the IPA Adventure mix-pack, this Black IPA was originally brewed as part of the 100 Barrel Series (7.0%, 67 IBU)
The Long Thaw, Harpoon’s spring seasonal, was my favorite part of this IPA adventure. I liked it enough to buy a six-pack.
I found the IPA Adventure on the beer shelves at Magruder’s in Chevy Chase Circle on the DC-MD line.
Harpoon isn’t distributed where I am (central Missouri) but I enjoyed a sampler 12 while on a trip to Ohio last summer. All good stuff.
