Before 2014 comes to an end, I’ve got some catching up to do – beer highlights from the year that have yet to make it to the blog. Here’s part 2 of my summer trip to Vancouver.
Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, June 2014 — While my visit to Granville Island Brewing was the highlight of my beer explorations in Western Canada, I enjoyed many other excellent brews.
A Pod Pack from Vancouver Island Brewery, featuring:
- Piper’s Pale Ale
- Sea Dog Amber Ale
- High Trail Honey Ale
- Beachcomber Summer Ale
A pint of Devils Elbow IPA from Howe Sound Brewing, perfect with a plate of poutine at Grain Tasting Bar in the Hyatt Regency Vancouver:
A bomber of Yukon Holiday, a refreshing Kölsch from Yukon Brewing:
And a variety of Yukon Brewing beers:
Finally, I have to mention my favorite Vancouver beer bar, Rogue Kitchen and Wet Bar, where I visited twice on my trip. Rogue has an awesome draft line-up; my favorite was Paradise Valley Grapefruit Ale from Whistler Brewing Company. Rogue has awesome food and service too – a must-visit on future trips to Vancouver.
