The Overlooked Beers of 2013 (Part 3)

2013 was another great year for sampling craft beer, as I described in over 80 blog posts last year. But there were a lot of beers I sampled that were not mentioned on the blog, so I’ll continue my nod to overlooked 2013 brews…

2014 New Beers Resolution: Visit Devil’s Backbone Brewing Company in Roseland, Virginia. The 2013 Small Brewing Company of the Year is less than three hours from my home base in Kensington, Maryland. I sampled a few bottles of Devils Backbone last spring and can’t wait to taste their full line-up at the brewpub in 2014.

The bomber of Noel de Calabaza from Jolly Pumpkin Artisan Ales was a Christmas gift from my sister and brother-in-law.

And I’ll end this post with one of my favorite breweries from 2013: New Belgium Brewing Company. There’s not a beer they brew that I don’t love. Sure, I drank a lot of Fat Tire in 2013, but I also enjoyed Accumulation, an awesome White IPA, and the strong Trippel:
