I’ll continue my tour of summer mixed 12-packs by sharing my view of the Summer Scene from Magic Hat Brewing Company in South Burlington, VT.

Magic Hat is one of my favorite breweries because they release a mixed 12-pack for every season. The 2014 Summer Scene includes:

• Elder Betty, Magic Hat’s summer seasonal is a weiss-style ale complemented by the tart flavors of elderberries (5.5%)
• Hocus Pocus, this American Wheat Ale is light, crisp and perfect for summer (4.5%)
• Dream Machine, this India Pale Lager is a “melding of varied visions of an India Pale Ale and an Amber Lager” (5.7%)
• #9, Magic Hat’s flagship beer is a Pale Ale with apricot extract – a sessionable Pale with a twist (5.1%).
