It’s mid-September 2009, and I’ve transitioned to fall beers. The Sam Adams Harvest Collection is my first foray into fall seasonals. According to the latest Samuel Adams “What’s On Tap” e-mail newsletter:

The Samuel Adams Harvest Collection features beers that are the color and flavor of fall. Each is a wonderfully unique and delicious brew that can accompany the heartier foods of fall.”
The 2009 Harvest Collection includes:
- Boston Lager
- Octoberfest
- Irish Red
- Cherry Wheat
- Brown Ale
- Dunkelweizen
The Dunkel is new and specially brewed for the fall collection. I’d rate the fall collection higher than the Sam summer mix pack. There’s no Sam Light to be found here, and the Dunkel alone is reason enough to buy this 12-pack mix. From the Boston Beer Company, Boston MA.
