My second winter 12 pack of the season was the Feast of Fools Winter Variety 12-pak from Magic Hat Brewing Company (Burlington, VT).

I sampled these Magic Hat brews on the weekend of November 7-8:

• #9, Magic Hat’s flagship beer, a Pale Ale with apricot extract which is a lot better than it sounds
• Lucky Kat, this IPA is an Irresistible Pale Ale, according to Magic Hat
• Odd Notion, an American Sour Ale, and evidence that the American brewers will put their twist on any style of beer
• Howl, a tasty Black Lager perfect for cold weather

Magic Hat describes this 12-pack as a “portable potable merrymaker filled with great tidings of pourable joy.”  I think I’m in the holiday spirit now!
