Before we settle into 2013, I want to recognize the (almost) overlooked beers of 2012.
I had a great year of drinking craft beer in 2012, as I described in over 60 blog posts last year. But there was so much more! I sampled a lot of brews that didn’t make it into a regular blog post in 2012, but they were certainly blog-worthy. So over the next three posts, I’ll give a nod to the (almost) overlooked beers of 2012.
First up, two San Francisco brews: Bitter American from 21st Amendment Brewery and Liberty Ale from Anchor Brewing – my Super Bowl brews. I bought them to show my support for the Patriots over the Giants in last year’s Super Bowl. Maybe I should have just gone with Sam Adams. Anyway, I love the artwork on the Bitter American can. This was a great beer for a football game – a session brew at only 4.4% ABV. That reminds me – I gotta pick-up some Baltimore brew for the big game on Sunday.

Mountain State Brewing Company
I drank a Seneca Indian Pale Ale at Private Quinn’s Pub in historic Harpers Ferry, WV during a camping trip in April 2012.

Beer Flight at Peg’s Cantina and Brewpub
I made a return trip to Peg’s Cantina and Brewpub in Gulfport, FL during Spring Break 2012. I love this place!

Tap Handles at Dempsey’s Brewpub in Oriole Park at Camden Yards
A brewpub in a baseball stadium – Dempsey’s was a must-visit when I went to O’s games this summer and fall
